ENGINEERING & PROTOTYPE CAPABILITIES
The quality and reliability of prototypes are critical to design requirements for new product development. Clipper Industries, Inc. offers early engineering involvement to provide complete prototype development. By including us in the early design process, we can incorporate ideas for ease of manufacturing and often eliminate the need for additional changes during the production phase.Supporting our engineering efforts are tools such as integrated CAD to CMM/DCC interface, Internet transfer capability for PRT, IGS, DXF, PDF, JPG and TIF files, and CAD System software including Auto CAD, Bysoft, ProE Engineer (Wildfire 3.0)and SolidWorks.
PRODUCTION CAPABILITIES
Clipper Industries, Inc. offers a wide range of metal manufacturing capabilities at our Itasca, Illinois facility. We feature a wide range of fabrication machinery and capabilities for equally wide-ranging types of cutting, stamping, forming, welding and fabrication jobs.
• Laser Cutting—Up to 1" steel and 5/8" stainless. Up to 80" x 160" sheet with auto load/unload.
• CNC Punch Plasmas—Precision Punch/Plasma up to 1" plate.
• Combination Cutting
• CNC Forming
• Mig/Tig Welding—Certified to ASME Section IX/AWS D1.1
• Spot Welding up to 150KVA (7ga steel)
• Shearing up to 1/4" x 120" steel
• Secondary Machining
• Grinding/Tumbling Operations
• 40 x 60 Vertical Machining
Our capabilities also include 17T to 750T CNC Brake Presses, with form up to 14' long, as well as 45T to 150T Punch Presses.
